GDELT

integration

Keyless global news search across 100+ countries and 65 languages

Open news integration backed by the free GDELT DOC 2.0 API. Searches worldwide news coverage by keyword, theme, source, country, and language over a time window, with optional tone (sentiment) and domain filters. GDELT monitors the world's news media in 65 languages across 100+ countries and refreshes about every 15 minutes, so it surfaces breaking and non-English coverage a general web search can miss. Returns compact, capped article lists (title, url, domain, date, language, source country). Read-only, no API key required. Peered by the News specialist as an interchangeable news source.

Search articles

Search worldwide news coverage from the GDELT DOC 2.0 API: 100+ countries and 65 languages, updated about every 15 minutes. Returns recent matching articles as `title`, `url`, `domain`, `seendate` (ISO UTC), `language`, `source_country`, and `image`. Pass keywords in `query` (wrap multi-word phrases in double quotes, e.g. `"central bank"`). Narrow with `theme`, `domain`, `source_country`, `source_lang`, and the `tone_min`/`tone_max` sentiment filters. Control the window with `timespan` (e.g. `1d`, `3d`, `1w`) or explicit `start`/`end` dates. Read-only.
