How BYOK and MCP access works

During beta, join the q5m Discord and request access from Model settings. We verify Discord membership before approval. Approved users can connect OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenCode, or a Codex subscription and connect q5m agents to MCP clients. After beta, standalone BYOK and MCP access will cost $5 per month and will also be included with q5m Plus. Your provider's model charges still apply separately, and BYOK calls do not count against your q5m Basic allowance.

Alpha and model-provider disclosure

q5m is experimental alpha software. Availability, allowances, models, and prices may change. Agents and generated outputs can be inaccurate. Connected agents can take real actions, so review consequential actions and do not rely on q5m for emergencies or as professional medical, legal, or financial advice.

q5m Basic sends your prompt, relevant conversation history, agent instructions, and relevant agent context to DeepSeek for inference. DeepSeek states that personal data may be processed and stored in the People's Republic of China and that submitted inputs may be used to train or improve its technology. Do not use q5m Basic for sensitive personal data. Review DeepSeek's privacy policy, Terms of Use, and Open Platform Terms.

After you acknowledge q5m Basic, q5m may also send message text and recall queries from your chats, including BYOK chats, to OpenAI's API to create semantic-search embeddings for memory and recall. Review the OpenAI privacy policy. You must agree to DeepSeek's Terms of Use and acknowledge the DeepSeek and OpenAI processing disclosure before your first included turn or use of q5m-funded embeddings.

q5m stores conversation history and usage records needed to operate the service, enforce allowances, diagnose failures, and control cost. See the privacy policy and terms for more.
